In-Game Name: 414TH PSC 2250 Chatterbox

Steam ID: 76561198259270921

Steam Profile Link: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198259270921/

Age: 15

Timezone: Midwestern

Hours Played on Server: I’m having trouble with game tracker so I’m gonna say that I joined and became pretty active on the discord and server like 9 months ago. I have been on the discord a lot more active on the discord than the server though but I still have played a lot.

Have you ever been kicked/warned/banned? If yes, explain in detail: No

Do you have any experience being staff on GMOD? If yes state what server, positions and time period: No

Do you have experience with Serverguard commands? No, but I can learn and practice.

What can you bring to the Staff team?: I can bring ideas to make more interesting or different events. One example is my WIP Intel Point System that changes events depending on how well everyone does which creates a real goal for everyone in the event. Events will feel less scripted and won’t make people feel like if everyone does bad, that the GM will ignore it and say that everyone actually did good. You can get big and small amounts of Intel so small groups could get together to do some small tasks and large groups can still do big battles. Now because I can only really do events around the weekend, I have lots of time to perfect events and help out others with ideas for PAC3 stuff or events .

Why would you like to join the PR staff team?: I want to make fun and memorable events for everyone and I would love to do it on a server with so much great custom content. I get lots of ideas for events that I think that they are usually pretty interesting. One example is an event in a canyon or big ravine or something where the troops will be split into two groups. The main force will go and rush to a base trying to get there as fast as possible while enemies shoot at them from above. The rest will be scouts or tanks that will slowly move behind and support the main force, shooting any enemies that are attacking them from the high ground. After that, the main force would go into the base while the support defend the outside of the base. Once the main force comes back out, it will become a race back to the start where everyone will leave the planet. This idea would most likely be pretty hectic and fun and would give everyone a real adrenaline rush while doing it. This server has lots of cool enemies like the A-DSD and I would love to also make custom enemies based off of those which you can see in the example event. I have been a long member of PR and I have seen and heard of plenty of good events like the Cactus one or the Delealus and I would love to be a part of a community that keeps on surprising me with crazy mods and amazing events.

Why should we accept you over other applicants?: I’m a pretty creative person so I can usually come up with pretty cool ideas for stories and events. I am also good at designing stuff as you could probably see with my armor designs and somewhat good at PAC3 so when I use it, I can create some really nice designs. I can only really do events around the weekend but that means I have more time to design and perfect events. I can even draw designs for stuff which can also be found in the example event. I could even make a soundboard for more scripted scenes that I want to get right or for characters that I can’t find anyone to vocally replicate from any Star Wars content. I really like this idea so I hope that it isn’t being spoiled to too many people if I do become a GM. So it’s right before an event and everyone’s walking to the hangar with the LAATs. Once everyone gets there, you all line up. You start hearing blaster shots but they’re far away and you don’t know where they’re coming from. Everyone begins to walk to the LAATs, but people start looking to the hangar control center in confusion. You also look and then you finally see where the blaster shots came from. The clones in the control center then start closing the hangar doors. One of the higher ranking troopers in the hangar will start quietly talking in a droid voice and say something like “Move to plan B” and with that, the LAATs blow up. The event would then be taking back the ship from the droids that are on the inside and the ones on the hull outside. This would be pretty crazy for some random CT and would definitely be memorable. Now something else I want to say about the idea is that the event doesn't last longer because of the surprise. People expect like 1-2 hour events and some might not be able to be on for that secret extra hour of an event as they might have to do something after or they will think the event is done and leave early. So the event stays about 1-2 hours and you can still have the surprise. I mean like I said, I can create ideas for some pretty cool things and I hope that I can get the chance to use them in PR.

Sample event (typed up event script):
Here
Also here cuz I was bored

What are a few key things that should be exercised while running an event?
  1. Don't be unfair. You can’t just spawn enemies in front of players as those players will instantly get obliterated (and it’s a bit unrealistic for B1 droids to teleport in). Either spawn enemies far away or show/say that droids are coming from a specific thing.

  2. Everyone needs a fun job. Say scouts have to scout ahead and tactically take out enemies, ARC-170’s/cannons may have to shoot down Hyena bombers/enemy ships and bomb ground enemies, or LAATs have to quickly get friendlies from one base to the other while dodging enemy fire. Do not have people waiting around for enemies for long periods of time, don’t make every boss’s special trait that they gave good guns and lots of health. Give people interesting, cool, or fun objectives and they will be happy.

  3. You need to be able to adapt to anything and if you can’t plan for almost every scenario. If an enemy is killed that was meant to be captured then try and see if he has files on any computers. Maybe if an LAAT transport is destroyed and there are two bases then make a third base in the middle for a safer and faster way of getting troops to each base.

  4. You should have a story that isn’t boring or overdone. No story is usually bad if there is nothing interesting in the event and a good story with good characters can really spice them up.

How often can you be online?: I may not have been super active for a while but now that it’s summer, I have lots of more free time. I can usually get on for an hour tuesday-fri at pretty much any time and for sat-mon I can be on for a long while (I might be able to get on for a while on other days). If I need to get on for something that I don't know just tell me like a few days in advance and that should be good.

Do you have a working microphone?: Yes and I could try and set up a voice changer and soundboard.

Do you have a smartphone?: Yes

Please state one reference (optional): Ion, Doppler, and Monkey.

Confirming reference. Chatterbox has helped many players create designs for custom models for free which shows his dedication to helping out members of the community. The concepts for his events seem pretty creative and I think could be really cool if executed properly. The only downside is his activity but given the current demand for GMs, I think we should give him a chance.

First off im going to confirm my reference to chatterbox. Now Chatterbox as you know as of right now is one of the main model designer to the 414th and to anybody who asked him, which he is so dedicated to. Along with that he makes the art he makes with the trooper poses. Chatterbox is increasing his activity after not being around for a bit so he will be on and has find time to be able to do events every week. He has the dedication, the respect, the great ideas that will help make a great GM obviously after a little bit of training. So easily I would support chatterbox through this.

Confirming reference. I know that many of you don't know him or are not familiar with him, at least on the staff team, but Chatterbox has been one of the most creative types in our regiment who. He was extremely inactive for a long period of time previously, but he kept in touch with Project Renegade at every step of the way, and has even made a lot of cool skins for our custom models. I was and remained concerned about his activity even though he said he is much more free now, but like I said with Rice's app, if he drops for too long it is our responsibility to remind him and or remove him, so that should be less worrying of a factor.

I believe chatterbox has the creative potential for events on Project Renegade, and I would like to see if we can guide him to be not only creative but an effective GM in terms of leading his stories and dealing with troubles when they arise. If we can help him get there during his training, then there is no doubt in my mind he has the potential to run events at the standard we set them.

I like the idea of the intel point system I don’t see it working with multiple FMs as people don’t usually communicate to match outside of their own battalion I like the idea but I think communication may lead to problems hopefully I am proven wrong.
