With Helix around the corner, Riddick and the staff team as a whole are looking for input and ideas on how to improve and introduce new classes. What are we looking for?

Some things that were already thought of:

Creating a new class called Assault (similar to what you would see in 2017 BF2), subclasses could include a riot class and a breacher class.

Changing loadouts around.

Possibly a new cert.

New buffs or debuffs, gadgets, etc.

What do we need from you?
Not just input on the above things but introducing your own ideas and building off what is above. Keep it constructive, please.

I feel like the Engineer class for other regiments needs to be way better so that we aren't only relying on one regiment to administer repairs and what-not.

but then that would make engineers as a battalion obsolete
also repair wise we do the job the same, cover is the difference. but i also agree they could do a little boost in cover numbers like 6 tough covers instead of 4. something like that.

not necessarily, I don't mean in terms of cover but having the class be viable combat-wise while also being able to be used for repairs would be nice.
Maybe like a merger between CQC and the CE class?

so basically, better gun, and make their turret easier/ faster to build sort of thing

I dunno, I feel like many of the classes we have can be merged, and then we can use the Weapon Kits in Customize Class to have different load-outs in those merged classes.

I mean this is more of a gun balance thing, so instead of having the overheat function where we have to replace the barrel. I wonder if it is possible if you were to be a LMG user or heavy gun user where it requires high fire output, for example, you kind of just hold the trigger and go brain numb just holding it until you reload, I think it would be more immersive to have it dampen accuracy and increase weapon spread if you decide to just hold the trigger for a long period of time. I think it gives the players more of a mindfulness in combat.

This is more for the DLT and the Z6

When we go to Helix, it would be cool to have it where you have to replace the barrel with an actual replacement. Craft a barrel replacement if the barrel gets too hot and literally MELTS.

Base Class: DC-15a
Heavy SubClass: DLT-23v, DC-17
Riot SubClass: DC-15s, Riot Shield
Anti-Vehicle: RPS-6 + DC-15s

Engineer Class
Engineer: CR2 + DP-23 + Fusion Cutter

Medical Class:
Medic: DC-15s + Bacta Injector + Bacta Grenade

Recon Class
Sniper: Valken + DC-17
Marksman: DC-15x

Skirmisher Class

Aerial: Jetpack, Ion Launcher, DC-17
Jump Trooper: Jump Jet, DC-15s

I'm spitballing here and these aren't really any radical suggestions that change everything, but it adjusts it around.
wanted to get some thought going

Have doom have riot shield with every class, so someone could be a medic and have a riot shield.

Also, maybe the assault/CQC class has a little faster movement compared to the other certs. Doesn’t need to be a substantial amount but enough of a change that you can notice it

My ideas;
Engineer Class

Not really a fan of incorporating CE and Breacher, it would be cool if CE got the shotgun but they should remain separate entities. Also medic should get the EE4, its classic at this point.

Piggybacking off of Flare here, he's setup a solid framework however personally, I'd like it to be setup a little more like this;

Assault Class
All Weapon Kits: DC-17
Infantry Kit: DC-15s
Breacher/CQC Kit: CR2, DP-23, Riot Shield + Slight movement speed increase?
Heavy Kit: DLT-23v (with Unlucky's changes)
Anti-armor/Rocketeer/Demolitionist Kit: DC-15a, RPS-6

Specialist Class/Role
All Weapon Kits: DC-17, Binoculars?
Sniper Kit: Valken-38x
Marksman Kit: DC-15x
Sharpshooter/Dead-eye Kit: (If new and more powerful snipers get introduced.)

Support Class/Role

All Weapon Kits: DC-17
Field Medic Kit: EE-4, Bacta Injector, Bacta Grenade + Slight movement speed increase?
Combat Engineer Kit: DP-23, Fusion Cutter, Deployable Cover, Turret
...something else?

Skirmisher Class/Role

All Weapon Kits: DC-17
Aerial Kit: Ion Launcher, Jetpack
Jump Trooper Kit: DC-15a, Jump Pack

Also, wouldn't hurt for every role/class to have their own little gimmick; movement speed increase, specialized weapons, HP/Armor buff, etcetera. Threw on the Binoculars for the Specialist just to give an idea.

My issue with the EE-4 is that it is leaps and bounds better than every weapon, lmao.
as a side note: I don't think we have the Weapon Variety yet for something like this
